Huntington Place Garages

Huntington Place offers 2,596 parking spaces across three secure and well-lit garages: the Roof Deck parking, Washington Blvd. Garage, and the Huntington Place Congress Street Garage. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and payment is by credit card only—please arrive prepared. No overnight parking, oversized vehicles, or trailers are allowed in these facilities.

All parking areas at Huntington Place include handicapped-accessible parking spaces and provide easy access to wheelchair-friendly entrances. Please note that Huntington Place is not responsible for any items left in vehicles parked in its garages, so take necessary precautions to secure your belongings.

For your safety and convenience, these parking garages are among the safest in Detroit, offering bright lighting and frequent monitoring to ensure a secure parking experience.

Roof Top Parking : 625 West Congress Street

The Huntington Place Roof Deck is located at the corner of Congress and Third Streets on the roof of the venue. The deck can accommodate vehicles with a vertical height up to 9' or less. It features 1,200 uncovered parking spaces, and provides easy access to Huntington Place.  The Huntington Place Roof Deck is open Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM - 11:00 PM; hours will vary for weekends and events.

Washington Blvd. Garage : 1 Washington Boulevard

The Washington Boulevard garage is conveniently located at the corner of Larned St. and Washington Blvd., underneath Huntington Place. The garage can accommodate vehicles with a vertical height up to 7' or less. This garage features 640 covered parking spaces on two levels.  The garage is open Monday-Friday from 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM; hours will vary for weekends and events.

Congress Street Garage : 501 West Congress Street

The Huntington Place Congress Street Garage is located at the intersection of Congress and First streets, underneath the Huntington Place.  The garage can accommodate vehicles with a vertical height up to 7' or less. The Huntington Place Congress Street Garage features 350 covered and 56 uncovered parking spaces.  This garage is open only for special events and monthly parking.

Pick-up/Drop-off/Rideshare : 5 Steve Yzerman Dr

After a major event or sporting event in Detroit, the best way to get a ride home is to head to the South Entrance of Huntington Place. For those using rideshare services, the designated pick-up and drop-off area is conveniently located on the South side of Atwater Street, near the riverfront entrances of Huntington Place.

If you are taking a motorcoach, pick-up and drop-off are situated off Atwater Street as well, close to the riverfront entrances of the venue. Be sure to plan ahead, as these areas can get busy after events.

Monthly Parking Leases

Huntington Place currently has monthly parking leases available for downtown companies or individuals in secure, state of the art, renovated garages. Overnight parking is prohibited. These amenities are available for our lease holders:

In the event that Huntington Place parking facilities are at capacity, two adjacent facilities on Congress Street are available. First Street parking deck and Millennium Garage.

Loading Docks

Halls A, B, C,and D Loading Docks : 600 West Congress

Exit at Howard Street and stay straight on Fifth Street to Fort Street, turn left. Continue on Fort Street to Second Street, turn right. Take Second Street straight into loading docks crossing Congress

Hall E Loading Dock : 933 Steve Yzerman Drive

Exit at Howard Street and stay straight on Fifth Street to Fort Street, turn right. Continue on Fort Street to Cabacier Street, turn left. Take Cabacier St. to JeffersonAvenue, turn left. Continue on Jefferson Avenue to Steve Yzerman Drive. For Hall E Dock, turn right on Steve Yzerman Drive before the freeway entry. Follow the road around the truck loading entrance which will be to your left before approaching Huntington Place.

Grand Ballroom Loading Dock : 1 Civic Center Drive

Exit at Howard Street and stay straight on Fifth Street to Fort Street, turnright. Continue on Fort Street to Cabacier Street, turn left. Take Cabacier St. to Jefferson Avenue, turn left. Continue on Jefferson to Steve Yzerman Drive, turn right before the freeway entry. Follow the road around the where it turns into Atwater Street. Turn left on Civic Center Drive, into the loading dock area, east of the building.
